HCDS Consulting Scope
Health Care Development Services, Inc., is a strategic planning and business
development management consulting firm. Our practice began in 1981, and we have
represented over 350 hospitals, healthcare systems, and pathology groups
regarding laboratory and pathology issues.
The scope of our practice is entirely within the health care industry, with
approximately ninety percent of our projects involving laboratory and pathology
issues. The remaining portion of client assignments deal with overall strategic
planning issues concerning other ancillary service development, such as
emergi-center, ambulatory surgery centers, and radiology/nuclear medicine.
The HCDS staff consists of medical technologists, Ph.D.s, pathologists, and
general management personnel with advanced degrees in either business
administration or health services.

entire clinical laboratory services. Analysis of service, quality, and
financial implications.

Evaluation of current laboratory operations and costs to organize profitable
